Three Questions for Oliver Digel

Oliver Digel is one of the nine graphic artists working at WALA and looks after advertising for Dr.Hauschka Skin Care. The results of his labours can be seen everywhere in the windows of pharmacies and health food stores, for example advertising the arrival of Dr.Hauschka Natural Pastels …

1. What exactly is your job at WALA?

I work in the graphic design department. Mainly I prepare advertising materials for Dr.Hauschka Skin Care – from print advertising to leaflets and posters, and also the point-of-sale displays which hold our products when they are in the shops.

2. What are you working on currently?

Just at the moment I am working on a basic design idea for an advertising campaign to accompany a product launch for the Decorative Cosmetics line next year. I'm making a preliminary selection from among the available pictures which we could use for the new advertising materials and am thinking about a colour scheme.

3. What do you see when you look around your workplace?

I have a lovely view from my office! It's on the fifth floor and I can see two of the three Kaiserberg mountains which form part of the Swabian Alb range and are quite well known around here. I can look up at any time and let my eyes wander to the green distance. It’s wonderfully relaxing when you’ve been staring at a monitor, and good for sharpening the vision.
