The Globuli velati referred to in the following are sugar pellets, or globules, which are coated with a medicinal solution.
For hygienic reasons you should pour the recommended number of these globuli into the lid of the jar – then if you pour out too many the surplus can easily be shaken back into the jar. The globuli should be allowed to dissolve under the tongue. Avoid eating, drinking or brushing your teeth for about 15 minutes after taking them as this might interfere with the absorption of the drug through the lining of the mouth. The globuli are often even more effective if you stir the daily dose into half a glass of water and take the liquid in sips during the course of the day. This form of administration is also suitable for babies.
The amount of carbohydrates consumed when taking globuli will not affect a diabetes regime. The indications listed are derived from the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature. Instructions for the use of each remedy can be found beside its name in the main section of the booklet and in the alphabetical list of preparations.
Always take medicines in the specified doses unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
